About the Author

Philippa Anthea Davies is a fiction writer, playwright and actress. She has published a number of short stories in the Jamaica Gleaner’s Children’s Own supplement and won a Gold Medal in the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) Creative Writing Competition, 2008.Travel Light is her first book.

A person with diverse interests, Philippa has been involved in sports, music, dance, public speaking, mentoring and counselling services for children and the Girl Guide movement. Also an Attorney-at-Law, she currently works as the Copyright and Related Rights Manager at the Jamaica Intellectual Property Office (JIPO) where she continues to demonstrate a commitment to supporting the creative arts as vehicles for personal and national development.
